The ninth year of the Hannah Pilsen Trail Krkavec was held for the third time on 9.11.2024 in the restaurant in Háj na Bílé Hora. The competitors were greeted by a cooler morning fog, which made for excellent breathing as the day warmed up.
There were 41 competitors for children up to 6 years old. There was again great interest in the multigenerational relay organized together with the Intergenerational and Volunteer Center TOTEM. In this relay, the youngest runners pass the baton to their parents.
The age categories from 7 to 14 were dominated by athletes from the AK Škoda Pilsen club, which had over 100 competitors at the start. The exception was the victory of Radek Sýkora from Beroun, who set a new track record of 2.27,2 on the 700m track. Vojta Musil from AK Škoda also set a new track record at 1600m, 6.00,5
The children’s categories and marathon runners were started by Tomáš Morávek, the Pilsen City Councillor for Sport, Youth and Physical Education.
Kateřina Houfková (Forest Gump Team) and Tomáš Grošek (Čochtan Horní Slavkov) shone on the main marathon courses with 3.43,28 and 3.20,05 respectively, who managed the course over Chlum, through the Berounka valley and with a run to Krkavec on slippery terrain. The 22,5km race was won by Martin Oberreiter from Polná in 1.32,00 and a faithful participant Petra Šmákalová.
The course records of 1.27,32 by Tomáš Eisner and 3.00,33 by Adam Korecký were not broken this year.
